I am lucky to live where I can look out on the ever-changing view of Shelter Cove every morning when I wake. I greet and am greeted by the land birds and seabirds that visit and make this their home. With cup of tea in hand, I unite with the waking world by watching and recording the rhythms of tides and fog, fish and waterfowl - not in a scientific way but in a way that might possibly remind me just to be here.
Because it is easy to forget you are somewhere and not just anywhere, this blog is about this little speck of beach in a small town on the edge of the great Bay of San Francisco. I write about what inspires and informs me in my life and in my work as an architect and landscape designer. It's my wish that through this blog I can reach out and touch the people in other locations who share my love and fascination for this world we live in.
I hope you enjoy reading it, and I welcome your comments and feedback.
